In 1996, Bill and I had been married two years and were still in the process of blending our family. Bill worked as a Tennis Pro and I was a clerk in a bookstore. We had very little time for the family, had trouble keeping up with our expenses, and had no hope for future retirement. I was dealing with some health challenges with migraines and menopause, and Bill was concerned that he'd have to change careers because of increasing joint pain and stiffness.
